Stuff
- 100 grams chana dal
- 1 tomato paste
- 3 green chilies
- 6 curry leaves
- 1 piece asafoetida
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp red chili
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp coriander
- 2 tsp oil
- salt to taste
Recipe
- First of all, take the chana dal and wash it thoroughly and clean it. Now soak it in water as per requirement and keep it for some time.
- Now put ghee in the cooker, when the ghee becomes hot, then add some cumin, curry leaves and asafetida, now add the rest of the spices like turmeric, coriander, red chili, finely chopped green chili, ginger paste etc. Fry it well.
When the masala is roasted, then add tomato paste to it and fry it well. When the tomatoes are roasted, add the soaked lentils to it. - After doing this, put 2 cups of water in the cooker and mix all the mixture well. Now close the lid of the cooker. Wait for a whistle.
- When the whistle comes, wait for the pressure to release. Now take out the lentils in a vessel, put coriander on it and serve it hot.
